It's almost the end of the year, a time for us to fully realize the amount of data our apps are keeping on us. The streaming music services, led by Spotify, released their year-in-review graphics and playlists, revealing our true music-listening selves to the world (should you choose to share ready-made graphics on Instagram).

This year, in addition to numerical insights, Spotify attempted to categorize our daily listening into a kind of Myers-Briggs personality matrix. According to their model, my morning started with Royalcore Victorian Appreciation, I seized the day with Mcbling Hectic Angst, and I embraced the night with Pleasant Introspective Relaxing. That last one just seems to be a jumble of adjectives—unclear what’s going on with Royalcore and Mcbling.

Here at Night Water, we don’t need artificial intelligence to help us understand our late night vibes. We’re a reflective bunch, able to string words together based on our thoughts and feelings. So have at it: how would you describe your late night vibes in 2022? Throw a jumble of adjectives in the comments.

This Night Water Cooler is a relic from Night Water's days on Substack, and the original comments are stuck over there. Luckily, copy and paste exists. Here's a selection of 2022 vibes from the original thread:
