Night Water Cooler: What was your best late night vibe of 2021?

It’s almost the end of the year, a time for review and reflection. I’ve been enjoying all sorts of data spilling into my inbox: my Spotify Wrapped (Lana Del Rey’s “White Dress” was my top song of 2021, unsurprisingly), my Nintendo Switch year in review (for some reason, I played about 100 hours less this year than last), heck, even Dunkin’ Donuts sent me my consumption stats (my favorite time to order coffee is in the morning, natch).
I’ll wait to send Night Water Wrapped until the official one-year anniversary in February, but in the meantime, let us think back on 2021 and share our best late night vibes of the year. Is there a night that sticks out in your memory? Let us know in the comments.

My best late night vibe of 2021 occurred September 17. I was in Miami for a wedding with my fiancée and some good friends. We searched for "bars" on Google Maps and picked the first one that came up, Kill Your Idol, a dive bar with a giant statue of Bruce Lee sticking out of the wall, a stripper pole on the second floor, and multiple projectors playing "Heavy Metal," the 1981 semi-pornographic animated anthology film. It was, indubitably, a late night vibe.
