What is Night Water?

Night Water is a late night pop culture newsletter sending out refreshing posts to quench your thirst.

Late night? Refreshing?

Yup, it’s sent out weekly on Tuesdays at 11 p.m. eastern, which is late to me. My hope is that every email you receive refreshes your senses like that first sip of a nighttime glass of water straight from the fridge.

Who are you?

My name is Adam Cecil. I’m a writer and podcast producer based in Brooklyn. I most recently produced the fiction podcast Milky Way Underground. You can find me on Twitter or you can email me.

What do you write about?

Nostalgia. Composting. The fake hospital where Cabbage Patch Kids are born. Curling. My cats. Vegan fast food. Pokémon. British sports drinks. Late night vibes.

“This white dude’s consistency to write whatever the fuck he wants every week makes me want to do the same and also watch Scrubs again.” - Nothing Important newsletter

Is it free to subscribe?

Yes—weekly Tuesday posts are completely free. You can optionally become a paid subscriber to get access to Day Soda, a bonus newsletter that’s kind of like the DVD extras for Night Water.

Subscribe to get new posts sent to you via email. You can also read every post on the web, in the Substack app, or your RSS reader of choice.

Can I write for Night Water?

I am currently accepting guest pitches for articles on pop culture and late night topics. The rate is $100 for a post between 800 and 1000 words. Send your pitch to adam@nightwater.email.
